Al vessant de Montjuïc, el Jardí Botànic de Barcelona proposa una passejada serena entre paisatges vegetals de les cinc grans regions mediterrànies del món, on cada estació canvia la llum, les aromes i la paleta de verdes. És un espai de calma contemporània amb vocació científica —en diàleg amb l’Institut Botànic— que convida a observar la ciutat des d’un altre ritme, més atent i natural. Get ready for a hilly hike! This place is big! If you like landscape architecture- this place is for you! Lots of corten steel retaining walls. California garden didn’t have lots of different Californian plants represented, but still a nice collection. There is a good bonsai collection. Also lots of great city views from this garden.
The botanical garden I visited was truly a hidden gem. It had such a peaceful and calming atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. One of the highlights was the abundance of old, majestic trees, which added a sense of history and serenity to the place. What I loved most was how uncrowded it was.
