We went to Gresca on a weekday for dinner during the first seating. It was extremely busy, and it felt a bit rushed, as they run two seatings of two hours each. It’s a pity, because the food was excellent, even though some portions were a bit small. They also have an excellent sommelier service — very knowledgeable and professional. We loved the offering, but not so much the rush of the seatings.

Overall, a very nice place to go for a meal in Barcelona that is not touristy.
I'm well overdue leaving this review as I dined last summer, but I'm planning my next trip to Barcelona, and the first thing I did was make a reservation for Gresca. I was a solo diner at the counter and it might have been the most heartwarming dining experience of the year for me. The service was dazzlingly efficient while still friendly and warm, each dish more flavoursome than the last, but the bikini sandwich…
