Die Fundació Joan Miró auf dem Montjuïc ist Mirós eigenes Vermächtnis an Barcelona: ein lichtdurchfluteter Sert-Bau, in dem die weltweit größte Sammlung seine Bildsprache von den frühen Arbeiten bis zu den späten Großformaten präzise entfaltet. Besonders schön ist der Gang hinauf zur Dachterrasse – zwischen farbkräftigen Skulpturen und weitem Stadtblick wirkt die katalanische Moderne überraschend gegenwärtig. Wer zeitgenössische Impulse sucht, findet sie in den wechselnden Ausstellungen und, im Sommer, bei den „Nits de música“, wenn Kunst und Klang den Abend auf Montjuïc leise verdichten.
A lovely and charming gallery it is! The open space is impressive. Perhaps due to my rather dull nature, I don’t resonate much with Miró’s art, but one must stay open-minded to allow for growth in aesthetic perspective 😉. Some of the works do bring joy just by looking at them.
Visiting the Joan Miró Museum was an unforgettable experience. The artworks are absolutely stunning, full of life, color, and imagination. You can feel the creative spirit of a true legend in every piece. The whole atmosphere is inspiring, and every detail is beautifully arranged – from the lighting to the open spaces around the paintings and sculptures. Everything is interesting here, even if you weren’t familiar…
Sublime. I loved it. The building is a masterpiece housing the art of Miro. Friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere to view and contemplate. Lovely stopping points, lockers, freedom of movement, great gift store and library. Didn’t want to leave. I caught the bus there..so easy and cheap..great ride.
