Stunning architecture and especially the windows! The different exhibitions were interesting and thought provoking.
Set within Domènech i Montaner’s former Montaner i Simón publishing house in the Eixample, the Fundació Antoni Tàpies pairs early Catalan Modernisme—red brick, ironwork, luminous atrium—with one of Barcelona’s most intellectually charged collections. Across paintings, objects and graphic works, you can trace nearly seven decades of Tàpies’ rigorously material language, a quietly radical thread in the city’s contemporary cultural life. Please note the museum will be closed on 26 August 2025 for maintenance.
Visitor impressions
Insanely good gallery, 100% worth the admission with some truly mind provoking pieces. It's not big, but definitely stands out among most of the other art places in Barcelona.
A very beautiful building with stunning architecture and an impressive collection of Antoni Tàpies — profound and captivating. There’s a free audio guide available in English. The staff is also incredibly friendly.
