Gresca distils Barcelona’s contemporary dining spirit into an intimate room where market-driven Catalan cooking is treated with a quietly radical lightness. The atmosphere feels both neighbourhood-authentic and chef-led—precise, creative plates, an engaging wine list, and the easy hum of locals who come for substance rather than spectacle.

We went to Gresca on a weekday for dinner during the first seating. It was extremely busy, and it felt a bit rushed, as they run two seatings of two hours each. It’s a pity, because the food was excellent, even though some portions were a bit small. They also have an excellent sommelier service — very knowledgeable and professional. We loved the offering, but not so much the rush of the seatings.

A popular local eatery! We certainly loved the food we ordered especially the quail 💯 so tender and flavourful. The sweetbread was nice too! Ordered their wines by glass, which is only by staff recommendations (no menu). Really liked the white wine they suggested but not so on the red, too light for our liking. Overall, a very nice place to go for a meal in Barcelona that is not touristy.
