Mercat de Sant Antoni is a living slice of the Eixample: a wrought-iron, Rovira i Trias landmark where immaculate produce counters sit beneath a proud façade crowned by Barcelona’s bat-topped coat of arms. Circle the perimeter gallery for everyday finds under its green awnings, then return on Sunday when the market becomes a local ritual—books, comics and stamps changing hands in a quietly addictive, collector’s hum.

We love going to the market in town. It was very intriguing along with a great experience as a tourist. Lovely fruits vegetables and seafood and carried meats. By all means don't be scared and give it a walk you don't need a tour guide. Walk around the market find something to eat and drink and enjoy.

Mercat de Sant Antoni is a great alternative to the very touristic options in Barcelona. There is also a bazaar type part of the market hall, under it a Lidl supermarket.
