تقدّم «المكتبة البلدية في براغ» على ساحة ماريانسكي حواراً أنيقاً بين عمارة فرانتشيشك روِيث (1925–1928) وروح المدينة الفكرية؛ فهنا تتحوّل القراءة إلى تجربة مكانية تتقاطع مع الفن. في الطابق الثاني، تستضيف قاعة المعارض التابعة لـ«غاليري مدينة براغ» عروضاً معاصرة منذ 1992، ضمن فضاءات لا تزال تنبض بمحاضرات وحفلات موسيقية كما خُطِّط لها منذ البداية. الترافرتين والنحاس والحجر الاصطناعي—مع التماثيل الرمزية على المدخل والشرفة—يمنحون الزيارة ملمساً براغياً هادئاً، حيث الثقافة تُعاش لا تُستعرض.
I loved the idea of visiting this place. I stood in line for approximately three hours. When I was finally able to enter the library, I took a picture and walked around the place. It was amazing and incredible. However, if I come back another time, I would probably prefer to visit another beautiful place in Prague.
Idiom is a cylindrical tower made of thousands of stacked books with mirrors at the top and bottom. When you look inside, the mirrors create the illusion that the books stretch infinitely up and down like a never-ending tunnel of literature. It’s one of Prague’s most photographed hidden gems. Must see!!
