تجسّد أوبرا الدولة في براغ طبقات المدينة الثقافية بكل ما فيها من ذاكرة وتحولات: من «المسرح الألماني» في أواخر القرن التاسع عشر إلى فضاءٍ شهد حقباً متناقضة قبل أن يستقر اليوم كأحد أكثر مسارح الأوبرا حضوراً في أوروبا الوسطى. داخلها، يلتقي البذخ النيو-روكوكو—الثريات المذهّبة والسقوف المرسومة ومقصورات المخمل القرمزي—ببرنامجٍ فني جاد يجاور بين كلاسيكيات فيردي وبوتشيني وشتراوس وبين حسّ براغ المعاصر الذي لا يفصل الجمال عن التفكير. موقعها قرب المتحف الوطني يجعلها أمسية سهلة الانسياب إلى عشاءٍ متأخر أو نزهة ليلية على أطراف ساحة فنسيسلاس.

A wonderful experience at the State Opera in Prague. I watched Rusalka, and it was absolutely great — a beautiful performance in a stunning, elegant venue. The atmosphere, acoustics, and overall production made the evening truly special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Prague.
It's beautiful opera house. Few recommendation: 1, buy tickets beforehand 2, reserve enough time to set yourself comfortaly well before performance starts 3, come in appropriate clothing 4, leave your unnecessary belongings in the dressing room. It's free, even though they appreciate small tip. 5, order your refreshments for breaks beforehand. You will not need to wait in line.
