Bar and Books v Týnské uličce je diskrétní salon jen pár kroků od Staroměstského náměstí, kde se newyorský „lounge“ idiom potkává s pražskou zálibou v tichých, intelektuálních útočištích. Zazvonění u dveří, tlumené světlo a knihovny v pozadí nastavují rytmus večera pro soustředěnou konverzaci, špičkovou whiskey a precizní koktejly; cigárový salonek a občasná literární čtení jemně připomínají, že Praha umí být noblesní i současná zároveň.
Another one of our absolute favourites — Bar and Books in Prague is a place we genuinely love and return to whenever we can. Just like its Warsaw sibling, it has that unmistakable character and elegance that immediately makes you feel at ease. The atmosphere is exceptional: intimate, refined, and beautifully nostalgic, with dark wood, leather armchairs, iconic monkey lamps, and silent James Bond films playing softly…
It has become my favourite place in Prague with its venue design and cigar lounge section. The officials were very caring and kind. The cigar and cocktail menus were very good. The freshness of the cigar I preferred was very good. Although it is in the centre, it is also perfect that it is located in a quiet side street.
We found this place by chance and instantly fell in love with it. Great cocktails and atmosphere, easy to talk and relax, and the service was excellent — they make you feel like you’re having drinks with friends
