Tucked into Kaunický Palace just off Wenceslas Square, the Mucha Museum offers an intimate encounter with Prague’s most recognisable Art Nouveau imagination—best known for his Paris posters for Sarah Bernhardt and the era’s theatrical glamour. Around a hundred works, personal objects, and a reconstructed studio trace Mucha’s journey between fin‑de‑siècle Paris and his later Bohemian chapter, revealing how decorative beauty became a distinctly Czech cultural statement.

Prague is special because it is home to two Mucha museums. The museum was nice and the artworks were lovely to see. In my opinion, the ticket price is a bit high for the size of the exhibition, and the visit takes around 30–60 minutes. There’s a cute gift shop at the exit, but I did notice that other places in the city offer a much wider selection of Mucha-themed items.
I didn't really know Mucha before visiting, but a friend took us to this beautiful museum as a group. The museum is basically a mix between a gallery and a museum. Anyone interested in art history should definitely take a look, as should anyone who is open to new things. Have fun!
