Church of St. Roch Saint Roch is “epidemic protector”. St. Roch Church was built by order of Rudolph II in gratitude for saving the Czech Republic from plague. The first stone was laid in 1603. There is a story about the closure of the temple. A peasant brought his sick cow to Saint Roch to ask for her recovery. But the cow died right on the threshold of the holy place, desecrating it.
