We came here because we bought a combination ticket for Sisi Museum and Schlos Schönbrunn Palace, and the entrance of Furniture Museum was included in it. As a bonus ticket, it's nice, but I personally wouldn't have paid to see it. I loved the life-sized wax doll of Sisi, It looked very real!
Terrific collection of furniture and furnishings across time periods and styles. My only disappointment was the lack of a gift shop and a very limited limited selection of books from which to learn more. A gallery guide to purchase would have been nice because the interpretive text was good, but hard to absorb in one pass through. I needed a take home version.
Enormous museum. If you run between rooms and read close to nothing, it'd still take an hour. So either focus or allocate 2+ hours. I liked this more than MAC because I don't care for industrial design. I wanted to see historic furniture (wood, textiles) and that's exactly what this museum is for.
