Impromptu visit with no prior knowledge of what to expect - was an hour & half of enjoyable visual aesthetic discovery with considerable "wow" factor with the ornate grandeur of the Lower palace itself. Wunderschön! Breathtaking gardens and Upper/Lower Palaces. The interiors are primarily art galleries with some of the World's greatest works. Included are Monet, Pisaro, Renoir, Cezanne, etc. In the upper palace are modern art such as Gustav Klimt & many others. TIP: many visitors miss the Impressionists Gallery in the Stables building.
