Theseus Temple contains one art exhibit at a time, free of charge. It's a quick visit and the surrounding park is perfect for cooling off in the shade when it's hot. Beautiful and reminiscent of the past.
Theseův chrám ve Volksgartenu je neoklasicistní pavilon Petera von Nobile (1819–1823), inspirovaný athénským Héfaistovým chrámem — komorní architektura, která ve Vídni s noblesní samozřejmostí propojuje antickou estetiku s městským parkovým životem. Původně vznikl jako „dům“ pro Canovova mramorového Thesea, dnes však funguje jako intimní kulisa pro proměnlivé intervence současného umění, kde vynikne čistota proporcí i ticho bílých sloupů. Právě tenhle kontrast mezi historickou přesností a živou současností z něj dělá místo, které Vídeň čte moderně — bez patosu, s kultivovanou lehkostí.

The imperial architecture and classical music heritage feel world-class. A highlight was the Kunsthistorisches Museum; its grand dome and collection of Old Masters were perfect for a cultural afternoon. Walking through the Hofburg Palace and stopping for a coffee at a traditional café made for a perfect day.
It's like a little hidden gem where you can sit with a book under the columns and enjoy your day or have a picnic with friends. As a photographer I'd say this is also one of my favourite locations in the centre for photoshoots so I'm passing by this place almost every week
