We stopped by Heidi Horten Collection and spent some time exploring the area outside the building. Even without going in, it turned out to be a fun and visually interesting stop. Right in front, there are some striking sculptures that immediately catch your attention—especially the playful statue of an elephant balancing on its trunk, which adds a surprising and artistic touch to the space. This has to compete with so many other art museums in Vienna, but it holds its own. The building itself is interesting with its stand-out stairs. It's modern artwork accumulated by a wealthy family. There is a Klimt, Picasso, Warhol, but also many more. The Animalia exhibition on the 2nd/3rd floors was thought provoking. Worth a visit as not overwhelming.
Yesterday I visited the magnificent Heidi Horten Collection and it definitely did not dissipate. Heidi Horten Collection is one of if not the best collection of modern and contemporary. Heidi had a gorgeous taste and you can really see that when you come to visit.
