Das Lusthaus im Prater ist ein Wiener Klassiker mit historischer Aura – ein Ort, an dem man zwischen Parklandschaft und Stadtnähe erstaunlich schnell in eine entschleunigte Welt kippt. Auf der Terrasse oder am Balkon speist man mit Blick ins Grün und mit jenem feinen Kulturunterton, den Schnitzler & Co. so präzise beschrieben haben; nachmittags lohnt sich ein Abstecher zur Konditorei, abends wird es gerne weinselig. Eine Reservierung empfiehlt sich, nicht zuletzt wegen regelmäßiger Veranstaltungen.
Lovely restaurant with green views in the middle of the Vienna Prater park. We took a bus to the edge of the Prater park, then took a beautiful walk through the forest to get to the restaurant and then took about a 20 min walk bus back to the city center. The food was delicious and fresh.
Nice Sunday afternoon, spent with friends. Food was great and the prices acceptable.
Very nice location, it's so nice to sit there on a cold day, watching from the window into the Prater, and imaging how the Caesar must have lived, 150 years ago. In addition, the puppy-seed cake is surprisingly delicious! Usually these types of cakes are dry, but this one is very soft and moist. Worth a try.
