Mayer am Nussberg ist eine Buschenschank, wie Wien sie liebt: zwischen Reben, mit weitem Blick über die Stadt und einer Leichtigkeit, die an lange Sommernachmittage erinnert. Prämierten Weinen begegnen hier regionale Schmankerln – unkompliziert, aber mit Sinn für Qualität und Herkunft. Am schönsten wirkt der Ort bei Schönwetter, wenn sich das zeitgenössische Wien für einen Moment ganz selbstverständlich in den Weingarten zurückzieht.
Beautiful location and very nice wine. We were lucky to have fantastic weather in early November. Busy but we got there a little after ope in and got a great table. No reservation needed. Some reviews reported bad service but I found the staff to be efficient and friendly. Glad we came here. FYI if you are willing you can walk all the ay from central vienna. One of my absolute favorite spots in the area. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but the stunning view and the super comfortable sunbeds make it totally worth it. The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing and unwinding, whether you're spending the day or just a few hours. Definitely a place to treat yourself.
Awesome views and good wines, food is quite limited in options and there are only a couple of vegetarian friendly there. A bottle of wine starts from 23euros (price from late June 2024) so a bit pricey, but still very acceptable taking in consideration the views and atmosphere. Service is good, they speak English too!
