Der Otto-Wagner-Hofpavillon in Hietzing ist ein kleines Juwel des Wiener Jugendstils – einst als kaiserlicher Empfangspavillon gedacht, heute als musealer Blick in jene Epoche, in der Architektur Haltung zeigte. Zwischen goldenen Ornamenten, klarer Linienführung und dem Geist der Stadtbahn-Ära spürt man, wie Wien seine Moderne erfand: leise, präzise und bis heute stilbildend.
We had this gorgeous Jugenstil imperial train station for ourselves for almost an hour for only €5pp. The history and the architecure are amazing, even though the original furniture is lost, unfortunately. A real masterpiece from Otto Wagner. Visit is highly recommended, but pay attention to the silly opening hours.
Very interesting, considering it was the pavilion of a station. Don't expect a palace, but it's definitely worth a visit.
