Theseus Temple contains one art exhibit at a time, free of charge. It's a quick visit and the surrounding park is perfect for cooling off in the shade when it's hot. Beautiful and reminiscent of the past.
Der Theseustempel im Volksgarten ist ein klassizistisches Kleinod von Peter von Nobile – streng symmetrisch, von antiker Athen-Anmutung und doch unverkennbar Wiener Stadtpoesie. Einst als Bühne für Canovas „Theseus“ gedacht, ist er heute ein stiller, frei zugänglicher Kunstraum für zeitgenössische Positionen, der Geschichte und Gegenwart in wenigen Schritten miteinander verschränkt. Besonders schön wirkt er im Vorübergehen: als präziser architektonischer Akzent zwischen Parkflanerie, Ringstraßenkultur und moderner Kunst.

The imperial architecture and classical music heritage feel world-class. A highlight was the Kunsthistorisches Museum; its grand dome and collection of Old Masters were perfect for a cultural afternoon. Walking through the Hofburg Palace and stopping for a coffee at a traditional café made for a perfect day.
It's like a little hidden gem where you can sit with a book under the columns and enjoy your day or have a picnic with friends. As a photographer I'd say this is also one of my favourite locations in the centre for photoshoots so I'm passing by this place almost every week
